Resizing Images

I'm guessing that like me, most of you create systems that allow for content management by your clients. I'm also guessing that you often get a phone call from them saying "This image won't upload" and you find they're trying to upload straight from their six megapixel camera.

Although you can do some image manipulation on the server, we always found the best way was to limit the size of the file they could upload in the first place.

Has anyone come across any software that is idiot proof that allows users to do this easily?

I'm halfway through writing some because so far I've drawn a blank.

straight forward. If they don't understand that... look for other clients
