E-mail forwarding to gmail, what am I doing wrong? - Webmaster Forums UK SEO SEM Webmaster Community Forum

Hi everybody

I need a webhosting guru to let me know what I'm doing wrong.

I've set up a few accounts on my server for bid-directory-uk.co.uk (things like info, adverts etc.), currently they have a redirect to my gmail account.

At the moment, however, instead of forwarding, they're just sitting there in the accounts, I know this because I'm checking the cpanel webmail.

Any suggestions?

If you have set up an account then it will sit in the pop 3 mail box. Forwarded mail doesn't normally have amailbox associated with it.

Thanks OWG, that wasn't the main issue but was contributing to the problem.

What was up was that I was testing by sending it from the original gmail address to the same gmail address, which Gmail doesn't like. Tried from my hotmail and it works.

I just changed my ISP to SKY, but can I get the email configured to use with my Outlook Express? You bet I can`t, even after hours spent on the phone to their erm, well......, `support` they call it. It just results in an error every time.

Oh, I mention this here because I think they use Google mail.
