Talk about a nightmare, their support department and email servers must have been on the verge of a break down due to this mess.

Not sure if any major sites were effected.

What would you do in this case if you a customer? Could they be liable for revenue loss?

Depending on their terms and conditions when you sign up for a hosting plan with them.

If there is nothing stating that they will be liable for any loss of data or problems with service then they could well be liable for revenue lost.

On the other hand, if they cannot guarantee uninterupted service then why would any big companies sign up with them?
