I have 3 reseller Accts and host where is appropriate for the domain suffix and geo-target. Sorry Temi not a simple answer, I could tick ALL 3 of you Poll Options.

I think people choose US hosts simply because their cheaper - I know i do!

We have a web hosting branch, hosting a total of 120+ sites, of which about 60% in Singapore, 20% in China and the rest in the US...

One thing you can't ignore, is that using a .com domain to target the UK will not be very successful if hosted outside the UK, in the US for instance. So remember depending on your particular site domain and Geographic target, Cheapest my not be Best.
