RIPE meeting - Oct 26th - Dubai

Just wondered if anyone here is attending the RIPE meeting in Dubai at the end of this month.

We are travelling over from the UK and I can't wait. Anyone else going?

What is the significance of the meeting to an average webmaster?

I'm not sure whether a webmaster would get a whole lot out of it unless he was searching for network peers (and let's face it, it's a long way to go for most people to get peers!).

Web hosts, on the other hand, can get quite a lot out of it given that RIPE essentially dish out IP ranges to web hosts, they are quite an influential part of the internet arena.

The meetings are to discuss various aspects of the internet, it's future direction, problems that we face and how we can move forward to overcome them. It is essentially a week of internet seminars, discussions, dinners and meeting people - It's great for building new contacts. There are usually a few representatives from the UK so was wondering if anyone from here is planning on heading out there...
