Ho can I setup a subdomain?

Hi,
I have created a subdomain using cPanel. Now what I have to do in order to make it functional. Please note when I created a subdomain, a folder with the same name is created in root, i.e. in public_html folder. I want to host this subdomain on same server with same IP and same name server.

Please provide step wise assistance

You just need to create a DNS A record for the subdomain and put your site in the folder created.

cPanel will create the DNS automatically.

You shouldn't need to do anything else apart from upload your files to that directory.

As you you have said that you have already created subdomain then now just upload your files there through andy ftp client and thats all.

thanks for the response, I have created the subdomain

dir.indiatourinfo.info

I have uploaded one file index.html in dir folder created automatically when I created subdomain.
My subdomain is on same server, same name server too.
I set the A record for "dir" as of indiatourinfo.info
I set the CNAME for "dir" as of indiatourinfo.info

Now when I am typing dir.indiatourinfo.info into the browser it opens http://www.indiatourinfo.info/dir/
What else is left to setup.

I wish If someone can help me.
