Web-hosting from Romania for .com

So, I've registered 2 domains .com and .info and I have a question: would it be a problem if the host is from Romania or it will be better to find a host from US? Some people say that the websites could not work properly if the visitors are from US, UK, Canada etc and the hosting is in Romania.

Do you have any advice?

As long as you have a reliable host, you site would work well from any country. If you are targeting Romanian keywords, its better to host it on a Romanian IP address, on the other hand, if you are targeting International traffic, hosting in US would be a better idea.

My target is International traffic that's why I was so unsure.
I'm a little confused on choosing a reliable host now, maybe I'll go for an US one.
