any advice on .com values - and parking

A couple of the websites names we own have the .com versions parked - does anyone have an idea of whether it is worth trying to buy these and how much value they are. The .net ones are also parked and again I just don't know whether we should start negotiating...

I have always had good experience with domain names I bought, that is perhaps because I bought from people I know. When you are buying a parked domain name through one or the large parking website, there is virtually no risk at all, the domain will be transferred to you once payment is received.

If you are buying from and individual you do know, the best way to proceed is via escrow services. I don't thing .net version of your domain name is worth buying but the .com is, if its reasonably priced.

I will investigate the .coms, although the one I am really interested in is owned by someone I do not know who seems to be trying to sell through a third pary. Will let you know how it goes.
