Hi everybody

I've been playing around with Squidoo a bit today, and it seems like a great tool to use for promoting and generating interest in your websites. Anybody else use it?

I've created 3 lens' - which are like single pages as part of the site - you then interlink it with your main content (like I've done here).

North Wales Holiday Parks on Squidoo
Chester and Cheshire on Squidoo
Double Glazing and Conservatories on Squidoo

If you are a memeber, feel free to add me as a friend/fan!

But I'm mainly just interested in if you have used it, how successful it was for you? At the very least it should be a few linkbacks from a well liked site. We'll see though!

Wow, I`m shocked!

I just thought I`d take a visit to a Squidoo lens I started some months ago, and lo and behold the recent Google PR updates have put it at a PR3. I haven`t done any work on it for several weeks, but I do link back to it from a couple of my other sites.

Anyway, livetech, keep at it, it can pay off in the end if you create some links to other sites you might own to help them get noticed.

When I first started my lens I spent time on it every day and got quite high up the Squidoo rankings, though it`s dropped down obviously because of my recent inactivity there.

I am using squidoo for seocontest2008 - it is a good source of links - though rel no follow - i have added you as a friend- i will be adding some more lenses in the future.

i like your strategy of interlinking them - will try it out! From a traffic point of view - i have no idea as i have created it recently. but i am told that they will rank better - whether they help in serp's or not - remains to be seen!

my lens is seocontest2008 at Squidoo .

Let us know if it has helped you in terms of SERP's or traffic!

Interesting. I signed upto it last week and didn't really promote it. Here's what I have done now:

It says my lens is still a "Work In Progress", which I'm not sure I agree with, how do you get it out of WIP?!?!

It isn`t showing to me as Work in Progress, so I assume you now know that you just have to hit the `Publish` button.

I am presently not using squidoo but me using a source name as SEO - Indian SEO, SEO Consultany, Web Analytics Consultancy is any one of you have heard of it or using it.

I tried to Squidoo, but I think I failed. I'm not sure I get the entire concept of "a lens." But your post has reminded me to go and try again... thank you!
