I wonder what happened to the Bulgarian contestant (seocontest2008) he was number 1 for many weeks or even a month, I wonder if he lost interest towards the end, I was enjoying his participation

He finished on the 5th position, which is not bad (yet quite frustrating, I guess)... I hope we'll meet him again on the next contest, he did great

Its look correct like sandor have said, see all the title of his post always put term "seocontest2008", and also his image ALT tag, contain those term spammy word.

seocontest2008.uk.com is the bulgarian team.

I'm bulgarian, but i was participating alone.
I started on the 20 something of February.
And i'm on the 15th place.
I made 2 big mistakes. the one happened 4 days ago when i was around the top 10. And i was in the top 10 for some time.

But everything is over now. I am happy I tested my skills. This is my first SEO contest.
I think I can do better and I will show you next time.

I was using subdomain..

But the winner used a sub domain as well, so using sub domain could not have been the reason you did no win.

I use subdomain too... and I am in the Top10 list. I think I am the only one in Top10 list that use a subdomain

But I am sure all of us will do better in the next SEO contest.
