Let's face it, our visitors (people in general actually) need to be told
what to do. So when we look at our sites from a marketing standpoint, don't be hesitant to instruct your site visitors on what to do next. Whether you're telling them to "click to continue reading", or "click to order product", "click here to register and download", etc. Your visitors will be reassured that they are doing the correct thing on your site, and by telling them what result will happen from their next click, you're building trust. |

I do agree with the above statement. Guidance is needed in order to optimize your user's experience and get the most out of your website. However over doing it it may result in your website becoming a tutorial on how to use it rather than a useful resource.
