Offer your readers a site map of your site. But make sure that it has less than 100 links per page - according to google webmaster policies.

if you google "free sitemap creator" and use any of them, they comply with googles terms of use and I find them invaluable.

Once created, submit them to google webmaster and yahoo and ping them using pingomatic and what the bots come crawling.

This one of the first things I do when creating a new site or updating it.

Site map is a page containing links to all the pages in a site. The Site maps protocol allows a webmaster to inform search engines about URLs on a website that are available for crawling.

If your site is very well developed and seo friendly, in theory you dont need a site map. Google will spider your site anyway

Just remember to configure your robots.txt so as they don't try to index 'space' pages.
use 'allow' or 'disallow' commands to do this for pages you want or don't want indexed
