About backlink building code

We all know that <a> and [url] tags are normally used in building links. If anyone could share some new code for building links?

<a> tags are the standard for hyperlinks in HTML , [URL] is BB code standard for for links.

BB code is generally used in Forums and comment boxing ( occasionally )

There shouldnt be any need for any other type.

Thanks for your reply. I have met some blogs, especially those in Spanish. They use some different systems in building their blogs and forums. If you use the above 2 tags in generating your links, they would display source codes.

[url] and <a> is enough to build links.

i have used Textile links also.. have you guys heard about it?
