I have tried a few incentive and gimmicks to try and grow my forum, non seem to work. Has any forum owner tried an incentive that works wonders for increasing membership or participation?

I got this idea looking at the results from you recommending webtalkdirectory. Many people went and registered there. Maybe this could work.

Make a deal with the management of non-competitive forums to do a short review exchange on each other. members of similiar interest would then join.

Do you think this would work?
