PHP coding which is better OOP or without?

I am getting a software developed, some people argued that PHP code using OOP is better than the regular PHP code, what do you think?

Is PHP better when OOP method is used or when the regular PHP coding is done without OOP?

Nutsell: I think the OOP programming is a very cool thing, but not must for everywhere. The simple functions and classes so enough.

IF a site is very difficulted (example a social-network or an online game engine) the OOP need. Pro: esasyer the programming with an object and object function (all is given) Contra: an OOP engine is not simple, not easy the bugfixing and not short
