adding images in excel.?

I have a client who has supplied me with a spreadsheet of products, and a list of images on cd. I intend uploading the spreadsheet into zen cart at a later date, but am not sure how to get the images into excel in the correct manner that will allow them to be uploaded.

Is this possible or should I convert the SS into a databse etc?

I checked the zen-cart forum for relevant guide but nothing found. I think that you should not insert images into the csv file directly, only upload them to the product/thumbnail image folder and specify their name in the csv file.
I think you should look for a smaple csv file which is suitable for bulk upload -if you don't have one already- and follow its pattern.
