Anyone Had Any Bad Experiences Of Mark Attwood - Internet Marketing "Expert"

Mark Attwoods claims on his website that :
"I’m kind of proven to be quite good at SEO (search engine optimisation), pay per click advertising, copywriting, maximising conversions. I now talk on these subjects all over the UK run a regular newsletter and Internet Marketing Training Membership Site for people serious about learning how to maximise their profits online, and run live Internet Marketing Courses that increase attendee profits by very large percentage points."

Mark charges a lot of money for his time, ‘knowledge’ and training under the false pretence of being an “internet marketing expert” whose ‘proven’ SEO and online marketing skills will "increase profits".
After some research into Mr Attwood’s past and present companies though Companies House I have found that by all intensive purposes he neither successful or knowledgeable and has nothing useful to lecture on or pass on to others, not to mention charge for.
To his name Mr Mark Attwood has 14 companies dissolved and his most recent business now in administration. Clearly there is reason enough not to trust this man’s “expert” advice or pay for his training when he uses dated unethical SEO techniques to promote the 14 companies he has helped run into the ground and is unprofessional enough to owe a list of creditors and have numerous business failures linked to his name.

Here is an up-to-date listing of his directorship history, starting with the most recent company - Toptriangle which went into administration in April 2009 (turnover 2008-2009 was £3,641,463 with a net profit of £105,983 which I am sure you will agree is a long way off successful). It owed £992,275.19 to 707 separate creditors.

Are you a lawyer or play one on American tv ?

Are you some kind of consumer champion ?

If you have given yourself the right to alledgedly "expose" malpractice of an individual, on what basis do you do this ?

You see in my mind, when people criticise others it is either because we are jealous, think there is foul play involved, been a victim of someone similar (if not the aforementioned individual ) or it hurts our own interests whether financial or otherwise.

How do we know you are the real deal either SEO Sherlock ?

You can hardly deny that there is an awful lot of horse manure on this subject from people who don't know what they are talking about.

How do we know that you are not some SEO dunce for example? I got started on all this SEO talk a few years ago. Got scammed by bull shit artists on SEO.

They rank you for terms that have no commercial value. You go and type the term in Google and see youre number one for a term with no value, that no one is searching for. A lot of businesses have been suckered this way.

They still are.

There's a lot of information, much of it contradictory where search engine optimisation for organic listings is at stake. It is all very well naming an individual when you have not put your name at the end of the post.Why ?

The impact of social media will become so profound that historic based SEO results will die and we will have constant real time results.

Ranking for anything in future years will be tougher but there will be a**hole individuals and companies doing things based on the past. Believe it readers.

If you hide your name while trumpeting some one else...have YOU got something to hide ?

I have heard too many stories of individuals with companies that did not work out. It is rare to do otherwise. Read some stories from Dragons Den etc...it seems quite typical.

However human jealousy is like a disease. When we look at the 'rich' we think they got lucky. Often it is the opposite..they have been on their rear.We go green over their lifestyle with out asking how we could do something similar. We want to go straight to the money but wont put up with all the s*** that comes before it.

So we say they got 'lucky'. While we pissed beer money against the wall, they invested it.While we watched tv for endless hours, they were working. Their choice to do so and ours not to.

Yet many want an x factor life changing transformation with instant results, without the hard work.Keep dreaming.

So what are your credentials now you make accusations against a random individual ?

Do you have prima facie evidence you are :

1) not spouting second rate garbage ?

2)you don't own an SEO company so can be called impartial in this matter?

3) do not own a company providing SEO services that rank peoples' websites for garbage terms no one is searching for or has no commercial value. After all most keywords in commercial terms have zero value. I mean why would anyone want a million website visitors from non converting keywords who won't spend anything ?

3) You are not some jealous competitor of the individual you name in the post and have inferior knowledge of the subject or business skills .In other words you are not trying to 'Diss' someone merely because you think they take business off you and you can't handle it because you are losing money... or you sucker businesses with SEO "services" yourself?

What are you trying to prove by listing his appointments and directorships? - It shows me that Mark is a true entrepreneur with plenty of experience in the real business world.

I've been following Mark for over 6 months now and he puts out high quality content with most of it being freely available on his website. I work in exactly the same field so I should know what he teaches works!

Mark is a genuine and truely generous bloke who lives in the real word running real businesses.

Get a life and stop wasting your energy putting others down... it will only turn round and bite you back even harder.

It's idiots like you who prevent people like Mark from sharing what they know.

Are you jealous of Mark Attwood, is he taking your business away from you, are you one of these so called SEO experts that rip people off by giving them crap advice and a crap outdated service. Sounds like it to me.

I've known Mark Attwood for over a year now and the amount of free advice, information and useful techniques he's given me in that time is amazing. He's helped my website increase traffic by over 2000% and increased my conversions and profit by a significant margin. Because of him and his generosity with his knowledge my business is on the up in a market that is very competetive. I would advise ANYONE to follow Mark Attwood - and I don't say that lightly.

So what if Attwood's had a few business ventures that have gone wrong - I admire the man for getting back up and trying again. I myself have had partnes who've done me up like a kipper. You failed to put you business details up there, especially the financial one's showing turnover and net worth etc. Why is that?

I despise people like you who hide behind a false name and cast aspersions on other people, trying to damage their reputation and ruin their business. SEO Sherlock you sound more like a SEO Shyster to me.

So SEO Shyster step forward and reveal yourself, let everybody take a good look at you and decide for themselves whether you're worth listening to.

Its elementary my dear Sherlock, if Mark has wronged you, you should have the cajonas to tell him and do so in your actual name.

What you are doing, says more negative things about you than it does Mark.

All said and done, Mark is in exalted company, because it is far better to try and fail, than to pee and moan and snipe from the sidelines. Many real visionaries and entreprenuers have been in the place where Mark and Kate were earlier this year.

I know that Mark and Kate are resilient and I also know that Mark's info is eminently implimentable (because I have invested in his wisdom and continue to reap the return).

I suspect that you are still green (have not yet had to pee into a wind) or you are a frustrated wanabee. Either way I know that it would be Mark who I would want by my side when the chips are down.

I have attended some of Marks seminars, I have had nothing but success from implementing only a small amount of the vast amount of knowledge he has bestowed upon me.

Sherlock...I think the phrase for which you are groping when you say 'for all intensive purposes' is 'for all intents and purposes.'

Sorry to be a little pedantic but your phrase, which is sometimes used as a corruption of the above by the poorly educated, actually means something quite different. Taken literally, your words mean 'for purposes which are intense.'

Then again, perhaps you are right in your original misuse of the phrase. It appears that do have an intense purpose.

I wrote for Mark Attwood's magazine - The Skip Magazine - for about a year as a freelancer. Six months before the company went into liquidation I started to be told that my invoice's would be paid "next week, next week".
Six months and more than £2000 of invoices later the company went into liquidation. I never saw any money for the work I did.
Mark sold the company to another company he owned and carried on trading.
He's a scam artist who might know a bit about SEO but isn't the slightest bit bothered about paying his suppliers.
