Problem inserting records...

I've installed IG_SHOP on my server... every thing seems to work correctly but i cannot insert any record of any kind (products, manufacturer, shipping methods etc)...

I'm pretty new with php/mysql and i cannot find the error.

Any suggestions?

Alfonso,
Did you give all the appropriate permission to the files etc? Have you created product categories etc before trying to insert products?

Have a look at the above issues and let me know if you are still unable to insert products.

Its not a very good ideal to leave your admin interface unprotected.

I could not create product categories so that I can't insert product...

the solution for your problem is to set the CHMOD of admin to 777 and after that start http://www.sitename.com/shoplocation...ke_symlink.php

It seems that you aren't uploade all the files and folders on your server,

remove all files and try to reinstall, but STEP BY STEP, it is not so difficult

I tried to turn the register_globals to on but still cannot work...

An accidental unplug the power of my server, the script works fine! It is because restart is required after modifing php.ini.

I hope this information will be helpful for other people!

One one question, it is possible not to turn register_globals to on in the next version?
