I would say my new thread regarding no follow on directories is a quality post, however that shows as no follow for my signature link also.

Okay, let me try explaining again. If a post you create is less than say 30 characters, no follow will be applied to the post. If its over 30 characters, no follow will not be applied. Does that make sense?

Yeah, but my thread creation is more than 30 characters and it still specified no follow in the html source for my link.

I used 30 characters as example. Its actually 60 characters. Which post are you referring to so that I can double check to ensure the conditional signature hack has not got a mind of its own.
Any thread more than 60 characters should NOT have nofollow.

Signatures are a catch-22. Some people only post to get their signatures out there. That keeps quality content from being built.
