try the forums on drupal - I found them SO helpful when I was using it. Also the code repository has lots of useful snippets.

I used drupal cms in almost all of my site. Basic drupal is easy, all you need is to learn the basic function and basic module. The best way to learn/ask a drupal question is to the drupal community itself.

if you are non techy and you only need drupal for blogging, you must know the basic stuff like how to create a category, how to create new content, how to use block, basic administration like content editing, approving of comment, etc.

Yea well thats basic, you should be able to get those under control. You always need the basic before you try get more advanced.
Ill try write you up some tutorials.
