It is always a great idea to use youro sig links. Don't rush to do so before you have your website exactly the way it should be.

As i am seo, i will recommend you to focus more on OFF-PAGE Optimization, rather than on-page optimization.

SERP = content + backlinks
1. Directories submission
2. Artical submission
3. Soc/mark webs submission
Do not buy buy any links before your keywords in TOP 20 ( waste of money)
