Dark Room

I would like to share with you a tool that I found very useful for people that write a lot. Dark Room is a fullscreen word processor that keeps your attention onto what you’re writing. I started using it about a week ago when I searched for a word processor that shows me only what I write, and nothing else beside.

Dark Room turns you monitor screen dark and has no toolbars, no buttons, nothing. You see just what you write, and this helps you to focus on nothing but your writing. Maybe it will scare you for start, it looks somehow like DOS in the past, but I like it a lot.
I miss though a spell checker…

I found the mac equivalent writeroom very useful when I was writing my treatment.

I use notepad++ but I know a bunch of people who use Darkroom. It really is a great way of getting things done
