Default Gimp Vs Photoshop?

Ok, I know that Photoshop (at least in my opinion) is better, but you can't
beat the price of Gimp compared to Adobe's pricing.

But that's not my point Does anyone have a great "this is how you do
Photoshop stuff in Gimp" tutorial, as the ones I've found on Google search
are not doing it for me.

I only use the gimp for quick cropping as its a lot quicker to load other than that I always use PS

I have heard about gimp, but never used that before. Personally i am a big fan of Photoshop, i suppose it is a very handy tool for webdesigners. Only thing i dislike in PS that i regulary launch accidentally the Imageready as well, though i don't need it

I should not have titled this thread "Gimp Vs Photoshop" - but should have called it,
"My Favorite Gimp tutorial"

So, does anyone have a great "this is how you do Photoshop stuff in Gimp" tutorial, as
the ones I've found on Google search are not doing it for me.
