PR6 backlink is not noticed

I bought PR6 backlink about three weeks ago. It is not still noticed any tools.
Why?

Could be the page and site has not been crawled and indexed yet.

Have you checked to see if there is a "nofollow" tag on it, some people are a little sneaky i had one not long ago.

How do you check that?

You may check it be opening the source code of the give page. Search for your URL. You may find the rel="nofollow" in the anchor tag.

Also - how are you checking backlinks - which tool?

If its from a site using a dropped domain that could explain it too.
Most dropped domains have temporary pr, that is their pr will only last untill the next update and the previous owner to the domain has already dropped all valuable backlinks to the site.

Agree with your mrcrowley that if its dropped domain then no meaning because its worth less.
