Can anyone explain as to what can be the reasons of PR of any site falling all of a sudden.

Secondly What are the remedies for the same

Most likely is that the pages where your link/s is have dropped in PR. So a PR 5 spot, drops down to a PR 2, then you will lose PR too.

PR means nothing, Ive seen good websites with low PR and crap ones with high PR. All it means is they went out and got a load of links, but a collection of links doesnt mean a site is good. Nor does it mean it delivers.

My advice is stay away from the trading of PR, and concentrate on related links for the traffic. After all, PR cannot ever buy from you and you wont sell without visitors.

Also with greater PR, come greater hassles. Trust me on that!

No its alright thanks - I dont use or need crappy Alexa, as everyone on earth knows its open to manipulation and thus never accurate.

Page rank is primarily calculated from the number, strength and age of backlinks to your site. So if your site isn't recieving so many new backlinks and the age of the existing backlinks is increasing then your page rank will fall.

However, as Highlander says, don't get hung up on pagerank.

Yet another trick in the Google arsenal, to make you buy advertising. I do try and tell people this, but they never learn.

Even in this current climate, advertising is even more important. Cant believe people cut their advertising budgets - got to be an insane move.

yes, that's one reason why page rank goes down... all you have to do is to optimized your website more and don't rely to back links you have now.. you must work on it as always.

Perhaps, some of you backlinks from other sites have been removed. Check the records of your link partners and see if they are still linking to yours. You may delete them on your link page if they are not linking back to your site.

Other possible reason is that your site has too much outbound links. These links also affect your page rank, thus may help increase your site's conversion.

To increase your page rank, you must need to continue getting backlinks from dofollow sites that have high page rank.

However, don't much focus on page rank. It's still best to concentrate more on increasing your keyword rankings in serp. This will give your site more benefits in terms of getting organic traffic from search engines.
