It's most handy feature is the reporting of broken links. I like that. Also you can see more detail about the backlinks to your site. It's also the place to submit your Google sitemap.

You should ALWAYS set up a Google Webmaster Account if you want strong rankings in Google, which you do ofcourse.

am not sure about it but there will be someone. I have read about sproose.com on another forum and I have tried it. Although database of keywords and cached pages is not so big but result are pretty accurate.

Google webmaster tool is very important for seo point of view, it use to submit your sitemap in the google, to find out site's external and internal links and also a lot of information you will get from there

I use the webmaster tool to monitor the progress of my sites and to know if my strategies are indeed working. It's pretty handy.
