As I believe Google now places higher importance on back links from sites with IP address in the same geography rankings will be different in Google.com and google.co.uk.

So I wonder has anyone seen,sourced any factual or annecdotal data to indicate whether the average UK non technical user does their searches on google.co.uk or google.com by habit.

Since the com automagically redirects to co.uk for me (and others) I would guess a fair amount will use the co.uk site.

I think the average UK user uses google.co.uk as oppose to .com
