Sometimes, if we search on google using keyword like this
Code:
online money maker tools you will find many site that have word of "online", "money", "maker", and "tools" randomly. So, if you just want to find the exact keyword, just put " character before and after the keyword you want to search, example Code:
"online money maker tools" ![]()

Well, I know this is nit picking bit for a start I never use "online" when searching because, well, I'm already online.
It's like I see e-commerce stores with titles "Online Sport Shop" lol. But yes, I agree using the "" narrows your searches and bring more relevant results, however, not everyone in the world does that. You know, if you ever go to one of your friends house who is not as savvy as us online and watch them do a search, it can be quite an eye opener to see how people search. Sometimes I think as search marketers we forget how other people, or "real" people search. KP |

But I mostly search with out " ". It's very useful when I'm running out of time and need to produce a research paper fast when I was in college.

using " " trick is best for searching software or brand name.

this is known as boolean searching and allows ALL sorts.
eg. Tiger will give you tiger woods and tiger animals, but tiger -woods -golf will return pages that include tiger, but DO NOT include either woods or golf. you can also speciy to google pages indexed between certain dates.

I do (though it wouldn't be one of my main ones, but I would put it somewhere), but it's - like you said - a word less savvy searchers may type in, so you may want to accommodate them? Or do you feel the return from it is negligible compared to more defined terms? |
