Gents,

Is there are tools that one can use to check if the PR of a domain name is true or fake. I want to buy a two year old domain name which have PR3, and I want to be sure that the page rank on the site is not fake before buying it.

I have checked Google and it doesn't seem to have many pages indexed. And with the just conclude Google PR, I am worry if the PR is not fake.

Try DigPageRank Pagerank Checker Tool in over 700 datacenters

Also, if it's a newish domain, try Googling info:domain.com - this will show the info Google has cached of the domain, including PR. If the info command shows another site, then it's a fake PR. You might also like to check out some backlink checkers for backlinks to the domain, I usually use this one

Thanks for the info guys, I will try the two tools and see if the info on the domain is the same, before I this side if I can buy the domain name or not.
