Newsletter Marketing

I've posted a question recently regarding then number of email
newsletters that you subscribe to, and the reason why you did.

Now, from a marketing standpoint, I'd like to ask you all if
you yourself use email newsletter marketing, and if so, how
long did it take before you had a success at it? By success,
I mean you've received many opt-ins, and more importantly,
many conversions and/or affiliate ads sold.

Its the one thing i protest so i dont personally use it, the way i figure it is if there offer for services/products is that good i will come across it on there website.

I agree Resonate to a certain extent to what you're saying. But for me, it depends on
what the niche that email list is about.

For example, I'm a member of the Guild of Accessible Web Designers, and they'll put out
a list that people will reply to. I get the daily digest, and I will read every post, as it
deals with website accessibility - on of my loves. I would NOT give up that email
newsletter for anything

I like to hide from others when it comes to mailing lists & so forth
