With cPanel, you can install just about any open source CMS there
is. I, however, like to install my web apps by hand. How do you all like to install these CMS, by hand or via cPanel? |

if the copy of CMS in cPanel is updated... why not. you'll save more time to install it compare to by hand which you will upload the files and manually create db name, user,pw and go to manual process.
if you maintain few sites... its alright but if you have more than 10 CMS ... its painful to administer. and also in cpanel... it can also update the CMS to a new version in just a click. so upgrading 10+ CMS in cPanel will take you few minutes compare to by hand... more hours to wastes.

Same approach for me - if CMS can be easy upgraded with one click - I would go with cPanel. Otherwise I would get latest script version and upload it to the server myself...
