I have used the blog-by-email feature that WordPress offers, and have found
it to be very convenient. Especially whey your on the road without a laptop,
or no availability of a public PC - and your readershio expects daily posting.

This means that if you have email setup on your phone, as most service plans
offer today, it's just a matter of texting to your WordPress post-by-email account.

I did not know about this feature. Can you setup the emails address or is it assigned to you? How do I learn more about Wordpress Blogs?

You can setup remote email access from your WordPress blog admin panel and it does not have to be the same as your main admin email.

I just prefer updating my site from the admin panel, I guess I just rather use the "old ways"

Theres always the issue with spam - when I did it i set it up to have a special code included in the email that was like an access key to post it.

I HIGHLY recommend you create a crazy email address for this, and do NOT
share it. Make it a really unique Krazy name, as ANY email sent to the address
you configure in WordPress will post to your blog

Just a note about this. Make sure your email message is set to plain text ONLY. Or
it will not work
