Thoughts on Article Dashboard, good or bad?

I've just spent a fair amount of time setting up a new site using the free Article Dashboard script.

I've been reading some negative comments about this software on other forums, does anyone have any experience of using it?

It's a free article directory script.

The sort of thing where writers and webmasters submit articles that other people can republish free in print or on their websites as long as they leave the link to the authors site.

The author gets visitors and back links from their link both on the article directory itself and each time another site republishes it.
