Most sites today charge in $ including sites from different countries with different kinds of domain names.
I have seen .in sites charge in $ also
I would not be put off personally.
Quick question.
If you visit a site that has a .co.uk would it put you off if the product was listed in $ and not £ ?
Would you expect a .co.uk site to charge in £ or has this no bearing on the currency?
Input for this much appreciated thanks.

I think it depend on the product or services you are selling. If you are selling say non tangible good such as link or software, charging in $ for a .co.uk seem okay
But if you are selling say golf equipment or web hosting on a .co.uk I would expect the pricing to be in £

purely from a consumer point of view I would want to see items on a co.uk site listed in £'s. It would make me suspicious if it wasn't.
