    Default How Do you Relax?

Seeing the Thread about TV program started me thinking of finding out what do webmasters do for relaxation?

I like playing tennis and ping-pong but I haven't been doing much of this lately.

So spill it webmasters how do you relax? Beer and TV? Sleeping or even cooking exotic meals?

Will I be flogged if I mention masterbation :?:

Actually, I'm into mountain biking, squash, tennis, computer games and website building/maintaining.

    Lanre,

What I do and what works for me, I'll share. I'm not a, "Religion" dude, but I do believe in a power greater than myself (Couldn't take much lol).

I take my fancy dancy (Idiotic), "Executive" Seat/Chair/Whatever and place it in the corner of my office (Home Office). I close my eyes. I take two very DEEP breaths (Inhale - Exhale), and then I take normal, "Inhale-Exhale" breaths 20 times, all the while counting each one. Then I recite a particular, "Stocked" prayer. I set a timer. When the timer goes off, I sometimes stop. Sometimes I don't. After coming out of the, “Silent Solence”, I feel serenity. Serenity, to me, is oh so nice.

A great friend of mine said, "Praying is when your talking to God. Meditation is when you shut up and listen.” I understand now, although I’m not ready to rush to Church every Sunday and listen to some preach to me.

People, who know me personally, know when I haven't meditated for a day or two. They state, “You haven’t meditated in a few days, have you?” It works for me. I can only vouch for that, though I would highly recommend to anyone, try it.

    Thank you for your question.

    Paul

Hey Duke I thought this is what you do to relax not work?
Surely you are not saying that website building/maintenance fall
    into this category
I wonder what you do for a living then.

To relax I chill out. I go to watch rugby every week, scream at the ref. have a few beers, then home for a relaxing evening.

To help me wind down, I surf. (the web that is, not the water)

Neath, which is a town on the South West Coast of Wales. about 4 miles from Swansea.

Funny thing, I bought one of my first clients websites from Velnet, many, many moons ago. I had sold our first web business, and decided to do for others what we had done for ourselves. Small world.
