I noticed a new bar added to my firefox called compete (see attached image) I do not remeber adding it and I don't know anything about it, it seem to be a sort of Alexa like ranking tool, anyone heard of it?

Search Status, a FireFox plugin, has just integrated Compete.com metrics.
Search Status lets you view the Google PageRank and Alexa Traffic Rank for any given site you are visiting in FireFox. Any visits you make to a site with the plugin enabled will record it in Alexa’s ranking system and give a site that extra boost in the Alexa graph. Think of it as an alternative to Alexa’s toolbar for IE. Read more
