There is a regular patterns of how I usually find out when there has been a PR Update or when its imminent, I suddenly get a surge in directory submission, today so far I have has almost $350 worth of submission to one of my obscured directory, unusual activities like this is usually an indication to me that something nice is about to happen to that directory I can smell PR update

Last few days i'm ranking higher in google on some of my keywords. They've also picked up some more pages that where previously unindexed. Dunno if any of its an indication though. My Alexa ranking and yahoo search rankings are also climbing quickly. doubt thats an anything to do with it though.

The google one is not necessarily linked to PR update, just mean you have been getting some good links to your site which does have a PR effect naturally.
