Hi
One of my sites is an adult shop. "Sex Toys, Brutal Dildos and Erotic Clothing at A2Z Sex Shop" It is quite hard to promote. Adult directories always require reciprocal links unlike many general directories.
I guess i'm just wondering if anyone here has had any experience promoting an adult site. Got any tips or useful links for the adult webmaster.

Any good directories that accept adult shopping sites? When it comes to submitting it to directories some will accept it and some won't regardless of what the rules say. My belief is that theres a big difference between an adult shop and a porn site. some people are just big prudes. :P

I think the word "sex" in your domain name could actually make some directories filter your site.
A less suggestive name would have made some directories less hostile, I once promoted a store just like your, the name was somethingortheotherpleasures dot com, i find it easier to promote than another similar site with SomethinortheotherSex dot com .

Yes i think you are probably right about haveing "sex" in the domain name but would it be practical to change it now? I'm not sure how i could go about doing it. Doesn't google look badly upon your site when you promote multiple domain names? I heard somewhere it was bad seo practice.

Why not set up a directory just for adult sites and charge a small fee for submission?

Yes i was thinking of that i will be able to get more 3 way links too. But i will have to setup a new host can you suggest any good ones?

I also have an Adults Directory I do not have time to maintain, if you want to maintain and promote it, you can use it as a link exchange site and I bank the paid link

I'm very interested. What kind of access would i get? Would i be able to add/remove categories ftp access etc? PM me details.
