It all depends on what programming language you want to settle for... PHP / Perl /ASP / ASP.net / Python / C ++ ?

If however you settle for PHP, then http://php.net is a good place to start... check out the "FAQ" and "Getting help" sections first, and continue with the rest...

Another excellent site for learning PHP and any other web related technology is http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp
With these two on your browser you don't need much else... except for a brain thirsty for learning
