at a book store. Just make sure you know exactly what it is you want to acheive because all of the "_____ for Dummies" are desk reference books only. Building a site from them is virtually impossible.
Also, I'd suggest purchasing a WYSIWYG such as Dreamweaver. It helps to get you off the ground much quicker and also helps you learn html, php, asp, etc., even though you're not really aware your learning it. If you go this route though, I'd suggest you buy Macromedia Studio MX as it contains, Freehand, Flash, Cold Fusion, Dreamweaver and Fireworks. I think it costs a few bux though. |

The first book i ever got was fundamental web design and development skills by rachel andrews, chris ullman and crystal waters. it's gr8 for beginers but if your a little more advanced then you wont find it useful.
