The GOOD thing about MX2004.. in my opinion is the text optimizations. i love the anti-alias button.. my best friend Let's hope that in the future the developers from Macromedia will do their magic and make flash better because it still has a lot o problems, most of them regarding quality of the output.
Crowebird.. since you are a moderator in this forum please make a stick thread with flash resources / links / tutorials. I will contribute to it with some links.
    Best regards Radu
I was reading back some of the forum topics, and novocaine said that there was some AS that could only be done in mx2004, and not mx. Just a question about that.... if you use coding from mx2004, with regualr mx, then play it with a flash player 7 would it not understand the code, even if it came from mx? Just curious.

flash mx and flash mx 2004 are pretty much non-compatible on some aspects of actionscript. Since 2004 relies mainly on the new as 2.0, while the latter uses as 1.0, flash mx cannot be depended on to handle as 2.0 correctly, even if the player can read it. Flash mx exports and formats things a little differently, therefore ruining the whole possibility of trying to incorporate as 2 into flash mx. In other words, no, you cant

    you're fast
Crowebird, NO YOU CANNOT because, as Solaris stated.. flash mx2004 relies mostly on as 2.0. It uses classes, there are some "tricks" that work in flash mx 2004 but don't work in mx simple.. and a lot of stuff, classes, new components.. anyway.. i find flash mx 2004 very unstable.. i have tons of problems with it crashing in the middle of an important project (withou the project saved of course)
    Cheers
