Netscape 9 on its way

Looks like Netscape is not completely dead yet, they have just announce that work has started on Netscape 9. Netscape 9 seem to be emulating Firefox success by jettisoning some of the stuff that made it a bloated browser like bundled email client and so fort.

It has been a while since I used netscape. It would be interesting to find out what is the ratio of using different browsers. I've seen somewhere that Firefox is actually more popular then IE in Europe, Would that be right. It would be useful to get the stats, how many surfers still use netscape. Especially from web designer point of view...

netscape is too slow and "bulky". IE 5,6, 7 Opera and firefox are much quicker to load. wouldn't bother with it unless you have a mac.

Yes, Netscape is slow, that is what they are planning to address in the next release.

Netscape, oh, I forget the name. This is a good news for me, coz, at once I always used it.
