What's going on in Paris?

Anyway, they're best not to bother with the army. Capitulating to the rioters wouldn't do any good. lol

They are going on 19 straight nights of riots, fires, etc.

If this was happening in the U.S., the press would be all over it, blaming Bush.

apparently alot of french people are driving around in their cars with fir extinguishers trying to put out the blases. they're doing a better job than the fire crews because they can move freely about, the sirens just attract mobs to attack the firefighters.

nasty stuff. but I can see some point to the rioters too. can't approve of their ways however,
it's just people driven to desperation.

the trouble is they'r eonly hurting themselves at the moment. It's not as if the rich neighbourhoods are getting trashed. they're destroying the property of poor people just like them. protest, refuse to work on masse but rioting solves nothing.

With an unemployment rate of up to 40% and a 20% Muslim population (95% in the poor areas), one could easily see this coming.

This is what happens when you get soft on crime (Like Chirac), and try to appease Mulsims.
