The rumour of Google buying this buying that continue unabated. The new rumour is that Google is planning to buy Yell.com . Two weeks ago it was speculated that Google is buying Skype but instead it bough out its own skype like software.

Never heard of Yell.com until today

Does it work good in UK? I've seen a lot of local listings there.

Yes, and bloody expensive to list your site in it. It cost Ã‚Â£299+VAT for a single category per year.
Its a very profitable company though, they made profit last year almost 80 million pounds in the past 9 months, that is over 100 million dollars

In fact google is going to partner with Yell not buying as per the recent news. They're planning to offer the british users business directory listing, before this they had tried to buy AOL but cancelled the proposal. :deal:
