Guys,
I wonder if anyone here is a blogger and what bloggin software you use. I don't want one of those hosted blogging solution that is hosted as a sub domain of the software owner, I want one I can host on my own server and domain name.

Quite a popular blog script is Wordpress http://wordpress.org/ its a good bit of software and seems to be designed to be quite search engine friendly. It was also very quick and painless to install (just need php and mysql on your server)

I've been using it on my slightly out of date personal blog at http://rob.sharpsites.co.uk/ if you want to see it running.

I have used Serendipity blog in the past, and was very impressed. Uses PHP and MySQL, was very easy to set up. I've not used any other blogging software so I don't know how it compares. More details at http://www.s9y.org/.

I would agree with the wordpress vote for now. I've tried a couple of different tools and, for the minute, wordpress is the most SEO friendly, although to get i working properly, you need to tweak it a bit by re-ordering some things

I don't know anything about blog software, I just use www.blogger.com and it could be crap for all I know. It's for my blog @ www.fragtard.net/blog

blogger.com is quite popular, sort of blog I am loking for is one you install on your own server, I think with blogger.com you have to use the blog software on their server

actually it uploads it to my website, I own fragtard.net, it has a built in FTP. Probably not what you're looking for but it is pretty cool.

Ahh,
I probably don't know how blogger.com work, you are righ I am wrong, I though you poited your domain to a subdomain of their site I seem to be wrong.
Its actually the kind of solution I am looking for thanks for that, I willl check it out

BTW if you or Ken need games related link you are welcomed to have a link for two from www.gamesareus.com , you do not need to reciprocate
