Unhappy Javascript and Internet Explorer

Hello everyone, not sure if this is the right place to be asking this, but...

I'm currently making a new design for my site, www.bungo.co.uk. The new design is here. The new design uses Javascript in the navigation system, to call up a "sub-menu" if it is needed - for example, when you click the 'News' link, the script brings up two more options 'Latest' and 'Archive'.

The script works perfectly in Firefox, but I recently noticed that Internet Explorer will not bring up the sub menu. I've tried editing the script to fix it, but it hasn't helped.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Ok, the script is working now ... for some reason Internet Explorer will display the menu correctly if I save the pages as PHP files.

I don't understand why, but it's fixed it.

Thanks anyway!
Bungo
