Thread: Climbing the alexa.com charts.

    Default Climbing the alexa.com charts.

I've been online for over a year now and still can't seem to break the 1 million mark. I will admit that my sites have had there share of issues and downtime, but it looks as if I'm coming out of it and they've been online and reliable for months now. That said, I still can't manage to climb the ranking much higher and would love to understand how to climb and possibly break that illusive 100,000 site mark.

Any info here would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ken

    1. Your offer and business plan need to be 'better' than the rest.

    2. Calculate the lifetime value of your customers.

    3. Join your local chamber of commerce.

    4. Participate the business networking events.

    5. Improve your site contents; make it more powerful if needed.

    6. Offer some "complimentary supports†altogether with your regular support to your clients or some thing extra which you deem best for your clients who can create a word of mouth for your company.

    7. Calculate your profit by using below mathematical formula if you're boarding an advertisement vehicle for ad campaigns to avoid unnecessary recurring advertisement costs, if it is not effective and worth to your ROI.

    Leads x conversion rate =Customers

Customers x Average Sales x Sales per customers =Gross profits

Gross profit X profit of Margin = Net profits

Don't worry about Alexa. Their stats are highly innacurate.

    Try this service: www.ranking.com

Thanks for the link Paul, I am curious though. I don't remember if I had to register with Alexa for them to track my site stats (I could be wrong), but assuming I didn't, how does registering with a site tracker such as ranking.com make your numbers more accurate? If there are 8 billion or so websites online and only a few million have registered with ranking.com then aren't the numbers going to be way off?

    Just curious.

They base their numbers on their opt-in toolbar. Ranking.com would be more accurate because, IMHO, they're software creeps its way on PCs the dirty way.

I get what your saying, it just seems odd to me that I've never heard of them, have no ranking with them and I've been online for over a year now. There's something in the formula I'm obviously missing, sorry.

Ever hear of 7search.com? Go to Internet Options, click on security, and then click on restricted sites. Me thinks you'll see 7search.com on the list.

    Wanna bet?

Oh I'm not arguing the fact oh wise one, I'm just trying to make it so I completely understand before I let up.

My problem is that one answer to one question usually raises several more questions that need answering. I'm not sure if this is a character flaw or by-product of a busy mind, but I will exhaust all my questions before I let this topic die. I do have one more inquiry but I'm struggling with phrasing in correctly atm. I'll post when I get home tonite (I hope).

Thanks again for the info buds
