It was reported that Microsoft is still interested in buying Yahoo if it has a new board. Since Microsoft's interest in Yahoo cooled, Yahoo's share prices went below $20 mark. With the renewed interest by Microsoft, Yahoo's share prices went up by 12% to £23.
Microsoft will only negotiate if Yahoo has a new board. One of Yahoo shareholder Carl Icahn is trying to oust Yahoo's board, including chief executive Jerry Yang.

If Microsoft waits a year they will be able to buy Yahoo for less than $5.00 per share. With the way the font office in yahoo runs the company.
