New favicon standard

Do you have Firefox3? If so head over to Paypal.com and look at the favicon next to the url. Does anybody know how they do this? Is there a new standard?

Actually, it looks more like a signature from Verisign than a favicon in FF3

Basically, sites with a secure-connection and have a certificate to verify their identity show a big green bar here. Those that don't are red. Green good. Red bad.

Makes it simple.

I have just worked this out myself - mine are blue for https though - haven't seen red or green. One of my https sites is just normal - no background colour same as http.
