Why the sudden increase in Spam?
I have not had time to look at UK Webmaster World ranking in search engines etc but I have a felling its doing well for a webmaster/web promotion related keyword lately, the level of Spam and people contacting me for some mad promotion offer or asking me to exchange link or place their site on UK WW directory seem to have increased dramatically in the last few weeks.
Any ideas why?

temi have you looked at the number of zombie viruses that have been attacking your hosting business of late? Apparently there is a massive surge in these viruses, and it is this that is causing the problem.

I have a firend in another forum who has a hosting business stateside. He tells me that where normally he is dealing with 3 or 4 attempts a month, he is nnow dealing with 40-50 a DAY ! He says that there is a neew script doing the rounds that is being used.

Your friend is absolutely spot on, there lots of mischief makers out there hell bent on wrecking servers. One just need to keep one step ahead of them which is not always easy.

Yes, you are right, lately I receive email containing spam from my own email Of course the real sender is a spammer I have check the hethers.
Anyway something link this is much time I did not receive.

I've been receiving tons of spam in my inbox and the crappy thing is that it's a pretty new account. I have no idea how the hell they find there way in because I suscribe to nothing and leave my e-mail addy no-where.

Probably the spammers scan an ip range and the Name Servers connected to this ip and they try to guess the email from that servers (office@... support@...info@...link@...)

Well I do know I'm not the only one suffering from it and my ISP isn't the only company on the receiving end as many people I know are having the same problems. It's really getting ridiculous how much crap is on the net.
